Strategic alliance combines dataPARC’s proven industrial analytics platform with MKI’s enterprise IT expertise and the strength of the Mitsui & Co. Group network
Tokyo, Japan — 28/5/2026 — dataPARC, a Voith Group company and provider of industrial process data analytics and visualization software, today announced a strategic partnership with Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co., Ltd. (MKI / 三井情報株式会社), the ICT solutions arm of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. This partnership combines dataPARC’s operational technology (OT) platform, MKI’s enterprise IT infrastructure, and the commercial network of the Mitsui & Co. Group, representing the establishment of a new delivery framework to drive digital transformation across Japan’s industrial sector.
The partnership marks dataPARC’s most significant enterprise channel expansion in the Japanese market. MKI, headquartered in Tokyo with a workforce of more than 1,000 engineers, has spent over three decades building IT solutions for Japanese enterprises—spanning system integration, cloud computing, information security, and IT lifecycle management. Its position within the Mitsui & Co. ecosystem gives it relationships across major manufacturing customers in Japan.
For manufacturers pursuing digital transformation, the persistent gap between plant-floor operational technology and enterprise business systems remains one of the biggest obstacles. This partnership directly addresses that gap. MKI will offer dataPARC’s full platform—including long-term time-series data storage, real-time process visualization and analytics, and dataPARC’s cloud and AI capabilities—integrated with MKI’s enterprise infrastructure services to deliver end-to-end solutions that connect plant operations to business decision-making.
Tsugunao Touma, General Manager of DX Sales Division 1 at MKI, said the partnership addresses a growing need among the company’s manufacturing customers. “Many of our clients have made significant investments in IT infrastructure and business systems, but operational data from the plant floor often remains disconnected from those environments,” Touma said. “dataPARC gives us a proven platform to close that gap. It can also integrate with the systems our customers already operate, and it delivers the visibility manufacturers need to make faster, more informed decisions.”
Kevin Jones, Director of Partner & Product Strategy at dataPARC, said the partnership reflects the company’s broader strategy to embed its analytics tools within established enterprise IT ecosystems rather than competing with them. “MKI doesn’t just resell technology. It is responsible for designing, building, and operating the IT environments that support the business operations of Japan’s major manufacturers,” Jones said. “By integrating dataPARC into that infrastructure layer, MKI can connect plant-floor data with the business systems MKI already manages. That’s the key to enabling true digital transformation.”
The announcement is part of dataPARC’s broader expansion in Japan, where the company has been steadily growing its network of channel partners to serve the country’s process manufacturing industries. MKI has started offering dataPARC solutions to its enterprise customer base from April 2026.
