Quality Assurance Developer - dataPARC

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Quality Assurance Developers are responsible for ensuring a high level of quality during development of the dataPARC platform. They perform a variety of tests, such as regression, integration, platform, and performance testing to confirm the stability of software systems. They work closely with Capstone’s developers and business analysts to test new features as they’re implemented and identify the root-cause of issues that have been found. In addition, they’re responsible for maintaining and enhancing Capstone’s industrial simulation environment that’s used to stress-test and debug the dataPARC application suite.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Troubleshoot & debug install package issues reported internally and from customers.
  • Continually test install packages on all supported environments and technologies to ensure compatibility.
  • Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
  • Code automated tests
  • Discover and fix bugs in software
  • Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Record test progress and results
  • Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
  • Maintain corporate simulation environment
  • Prioritizes routine work, respects schedule of others, flexible in response to changing environment.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid and promote a
  • cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Participates in all training offered by Capstone as relevant to department or position

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience developing in Visual Studio/C# using .NET Framework or .NET Core

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and follow through

  • Ability to use appropriate independent judgment to make decisions

  • Ability to learn and apply organization policy and procedure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience working as a Software Tester or similar role
  • Experience developing WPF Applications
  • Experience developing ASP.NET Core Applications
  • Experience using Microsoft TFS for managing Agile development, including user story creation, sprint planning, and test management.
  • Experience working with relational databases

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years’ experience in development

Project Implementation Engineer - dataPARC

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Project Implementation Engineer executes engineering/software install projects for a large variety of clients across a broad spectrum of industries. Duties involve installing and configuring software for new and existing customers, as well as managing and executing engineering projects for new and existing clients. This position will also travel on site to configure software, conduct training and work on customer-specific engineering tasks.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with the customer as a member of their team to aid in the utilization, design and use of the dataPARC software in their production environment.
  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management and customer.
  • Train customers on use of software in production environment, on-site and remotely.
  • Lead planning and discussion meeting with customer to identify their process analysis needs and help customer execute projects to meet those needs.
  • Determines and develops project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
  • Act as the ‘voice of the customer’ with internal development team to advise on product direction.
  • Manage multiple projects with different customers, while meeting project goals and timelines.
  • Provides timely engineering solutions to problems associated with project assignments.
  • Develops or assists with the development of project schedules by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Work as part of team with customer to meet their specific needs for the software.
  • Prioritizes routine work, respects schedule of others, flexible in response to changing environment.
