Digital Designer


GENERAL SUMMARY:

Founded in 2001, and headquartered in Vancouver, WA, dataPARC’s industrial analytics software was born from the needs of operators and engineers on the plant floor. We continue to be home to engineers, industrial analytics pros, and other brilliant and dedicated individuals who share the goal of helping process manufacturers make better data-driven decisions.


As Digital Designer you will play a critical role in communicating the value of dataPARC’s data visualization and operations management tools to our customers and prospects. Creative outputs include websites, emails, social, online advertising, print, and interactive projects. We will depend on you to influence creative direction as we continue to refine and elevate our brand. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design & develop sales/marketing collateral, including advertisements, brochures, website, email campaigns, social media, motion graphics assets and other materials as needed.
  • Drive website performance via design and UX improvements based on A/B testing, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Manage brand consistency across channels, including website graphics, social media, print media, merchandise, and signage.
  • Lead projects through the entire design process, including concept development, refinement, rollout, and asset production.
  • Prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines consistently, and champion projects from concept to completion in a dynamic environment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to consistently deliver professional-quality design work as demonstrated in work samples or online portfolio
  • 3 + years of agency or in-house digital design experience
  • Experience designing for a variety of channels, with a strong focus on digital.
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, esp. Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with HTML + CSS.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines while managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and internally motivated to deliver high-caliber work.
  • Strong innovation and technology sensibilities and a solid understanding of digital tools and trends.
  • Curious and strategic thinking. You’re always looking for the right design for the right audience and aren't afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • B2B marketing for technical or SaaS products
  • Bonus points for front end development experience, including WordPress development.
  • Additional bonus points for motion graphics and/or video editing experience (Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere).

Quality Assurance Developer


GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Developer is responsible for ensuring a high level of quality during development of the dataPARC application. They perform a variety of tests, such as regression, integration, and performance, to confirm the stability of the application. They work closely with Capstone’s developers and business analysts to test new features as they are implemented and identify the root-cause of issues that have been found. In addition, they are responsible for maintaining and enhancing Capstone’s test environment that is used to stress-test and debug dataPARC.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Code automated tests
  • Test, troubleshoot, and debug install packages on all supported environments and technologies
  • Identify, isolate, track and fix bugs
  • Record test progress and results
  • Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
  • Prioritizes routine work
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to fix and improve products
  • Stay current with new technology and make recommendations when appropriate
  • Communicate effectively, respectfully, and confidentially (when appropriate) with internal and external customers
  • Responsible for own personal safety, the safety of the team and those around you.
  • Work in accordance with and enforce compliance with all BTG/Capstone’s policies (ex: Safety, Code of Conduct, Commercial Policy, Security Policy and Export Compliance) to maintain BTG/Capstone’s reputation and image.
  • Participates in all training offered by Capstone as relevant to department or position

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience developing in Visual Studio/C# using .NET Framework or .NET Core
  • Experience developing React applications
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to use appropriate independent judgment to make decisions
  • Ability to learn and apply organization policy and procedures
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience as a QA Developer or Software Tester
  • Experience with automated UI testing
  • Experience with WPF
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
