Ambatovy Named Winner of 2026 dataPARC Integration Mastery Award

Mining operation recognized for bringing process, maintenance, laboratory, and equipment data together in dataPARC, giving teams live visibility across its entire mine-to-refinery operation.

Washougal, WA — October 27, 2026 — dataPARC, a provider of industrial process data analytics and visualization software, today named Ambatovy the winner of its 2026 Integration Mastery Award. The award recognizes customers who unify data from disparate systems into a complete, real-time view of plant operations.

Ambatovy operates one of the world’s largest integrated nickel and cobalt facilities in Madagascar, where ore travels from the mine through a 220-kilometer slurry pipeline to a hydrometallurgical plant and refinery. Across that operation, process, maintenance, laboratory, and equipment performance data sat in separate systems, and no team had a complete view of how the plant was running. Ambatovy connected its PI historian, EAM, LIMS, and OEE systems through dataPARC, giving operators, engineers, and management the same real-time picture.

With that data in one place, a team led by DCS Superintendent Shyam Sankarankutty built more than ten custom applications on the platform. Daily production reports that were once compiled by hand are now generated and emailed automatically. Operators enter shift data directly into dataPARC, where it goes through tiered approval instead of living in spreadsheets. Equipment health and vibration monitoring helps maintenance spot developing problems earlier, and planners schedule maintenance against live production data.

“dataPARC evolved beyond a historian into the digital backbone of our entire operation,” said Sankarankutty. “It connects production, maintenance, laboratory, and management into one unified platform.”

“Most customers bring in dataPARC to solve a specific problem. The ones who get the most from it keep going,” said Jason Myers, Managing Director at dataPARC. “Ambatovy started with process data and kept connecting systems until maintenance, the lab, and management were all working from the same platform as the control room. That kind of follow-through is what this award exists to recognize.”
