GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Partner Technical Sales Engineer role is critical in building and growing dataPARC’s global customer base through external sales channels.  Primary responsibilities include providing technical support to dataPARC’s partners (resellers and system integrators) and assisting in building and rolling out the global program.  This includes the discovery, onboarding & long-term success of dataPARC partners. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary technical contact for sales channels and strategic partners, including the following
    • Providing detailed technical information to sales channels during their onboarding process
    • Technical product training
  • Work with global teams to identify needs related to partner program
  • Provide the technical expertise for key Partner Program deliverables:  Examples include – training programs, case studies, value proposition collateral, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams (Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, etc.) to ensure the timely completion of Partner Program deliverables.
  • Technical support for marketing content geared toward partners – such as white papers, case studies, product sheets and solution sheets
  • Prioritize routine work, respect the schedule of others, and be flexible in response to changing environments.
  • Maintain a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Participate in all training offered by Capstone as relevant to the department or position
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and respect

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest and skill in the use of OT & IT within the process industry domain, typically derived from employment or consulting
  • Experience working with Time Series Historians (dataPARC, Aveva PI, Aspen IP.21, Honeywell, etc.) and creating applications or solutions based on the data
    • System Administration and/or Super User experience is a plus
    • Experience with dataPARC is a plus
  • Requirements analysis & solution design skills
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to use appropriate independent judgment to make decisions
  • Highly self-motivated and directed

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS, MS or PhD in Engineering or Software Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with OT and IT software in industrial process manufacturing.
  • Experience working for System Integrators or Software Vendors is a plus
  • Experience working in partner support is a plus
  • Experience working with process historian and data visualization software packages such as Aveva PI, AspenTech’s IP.21, Honeywell PHD, or dataPARC
